Some thought-provoking insights, Susie. As pub/ed of the Ocean Beach Bulletin, an even smaller local SF news org than the Appeal, I read your cartoons with great interest.


Great article and insight, Susie. As a local SF cartoonist with a New Yorker (though some fans have mentioned it is San Franesque) style, I find online as my only resource for self-publishing. The sellout for rent is understood; and unfortunately when cartooned at a national level, SF references are the typical stereotypes.
